A creative writer obsessed with good grammar
I learned I was a writer when I took a playwriting class in college. After graduation, I spent 15 straight years either on stage or writing stuff that would be recited on stage. My avant-garde comedy duo, The Cody Rivers Show, toured the U.S. and Canada and won several awards.

My first step toward professional writing was working as a freelance editor for self-publishing authors. Then I landed a “real job,” at a global communications agency called Weber Shandwick. I led campaigns and content for tons of clients, including multiple programs at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Today, I balance my freelance career with creative hobbies like recording music and podcasts.
